Since I've now been training for 6+ weeks with TNT, here's a recap of what's happened over the past few weeks...
Week 0: Kick-off!

Got to meet many of my teammates and my mentors, Sarah and Belinda. They've both done marathons and half-marathons in the past and are hand-picked to help the newbies (like me) and alumni with running, fundraising, etc. We also picked a team name...

Week 1: 1st Coach's Run at Alameda Harbor Bay Ferry

After not having exercised in months (or even years) because of the exhausting lifestyle I led as a pediatric resident, I ran 4 miles that day! Thank goodness for my new friends Angela and Leslie who were there to support me!
Needless to say, I was very sore the next day!!!
I was also sooooo excited to see that my friend from residency, Becky, had also signed up to train with TNT for the San Diego Rock 'N Roll Marathon in June!
Week 2: Marathon University at Castro Valley Middle School

After a short track work-out, we gathered for "Marathon University", a workshop on nutrition, sports injury, running gear (water bottles and packs, clothing, shoes, electrolytes, Gu, etc.) and much more!
Week 3: Mentor Run at Point Isabel, Richmond
All I can say is that this picture was taken before my 5 mile run...
Two days after this run (and a day after a yoga class), my back started hurting and continued hurting for TWO weeks! I finally went and saw Dr. Jason Morganstein, a chiropractor who specializes in sports medicine, who figured out that I had sacroiliac joint problems.
Week 4: Coach's Run at Oyster Bay, San Leandro
Before our run, I was one of 3 people to receive the "spirit hat" for the week! Thanks to all of you, I was recognized for good fundraising, for jumping in and getting involved with TNT, and for lending my camera to Ray, our team web captain.

Here I am on my 3 mile run (my back hurt that day!)
